RAH says "I just walked around the pond and don't see any curly leafed pondweed which was providing a lot of cover. Should I be seeing it this time of year or is it too early?" In your regions at this time of year (Mid Sept) curly leaf had died back and new plants are just beginning to grow in Sept-Oct. By late Nov expect curly to be 10"-20" tall.

Thank you Bill! Will check for curly leafed pondweed during the deer gun season. I just don't remember much of it earlier this year, but that could just be a brain fade:)
