Hi Everyone!
So excited to have discovered this amazing resource. Looking forward to learning from everyone. We bought a farm house with an acre pond in NC (USA) about a month ago. We know nothing about maintaining it. It has bass and blue gill galore. It’s very shallow. We have a resident heron and some geese. I have not seen any ducks. We want to keep it healthy for the wildlife to enjoy. It has a good bit of buildup and has algae on the surface. We aren’t sure if we need to look into aeration. We’d love some native aquatic plant life too. Looking forward to learning!

.10 surface acre pond, 10.5 foot deep. SW LA. The epitome of a mutt pond. BG, LMB, GSF, RES, BH, Warmouth, Longear Sunfish, Gambusia,Mud Minnows, Crappie, and now shiners!!...I subscribe!!

Hello from another NC pond geek.
I am in year 2 of a neglected farm pond restoration project.
My results so far are (to me) nothing short of amazing.
I have installed aeration, automated feeders and stocked multiple species.
I'd be happy to share my experience, local sources and lessons learned.
NC is a popular state for aqua culture but it's a cottage industry, so it stays under the radar.
