Hello all, First, thank you in advance for taking the time to share your expertise! Purchased a property in North Bend, WI and will be using it as a nonprofit for foster and low income children. The plan is to put in a swim pond for their use. Know nothing about building or maintaining a swim pond so that is why I am here. Found this forum by google search and ready to start learning as we would like to start construction next spring. Property in an 80 acres golf course on the Black River, water hazard on the property is going to be the pond location. Has a well, pump house and electric within 20 feet. Shale base 8ft down, soil samples complete by land conservation guy says no liner needed but would like a second opinion. Current vision is about 1/2 acre pond with slip n slide connected from adjacent side hill. Sandy bottom as we have perfect beach sand on the property. Any threads you can point to of similar pond topic would be appreciated and I will start reading. Thanks again for the free knowledge!!
