Hey fellas, it's been about a week i've been busy with work, college, and messing around with my pond. So now that i got a wild hair, i went out and borrows my uncle small kubota excavator and enlarged my bluegill, catfish pond almost double, plus added a small deck. before I could put in a overflow drainage system the pond has filled up and i need some help on how to install a drain pipe on the top of my bank. If i used that thick clear plastic sheets that bricks come on and use that as a poor man's anti seep collar would that work? I have a good good clay base in my soil so if just by packing it good would that be fine. I know what I have to do but sometimes getting other opinions help you make a more wise decision. Also my pond is 73 length feet by 59 width and wondering if i'm right when i say it's 1/4 and acre cause i think that 200 x 200 is 1 acre, but i'm not 100% certain. Any help would be great.

Since you are putting the overflow at your water level, anti-seep collars are less relevant. Dig your trench, starting at the backside of your your dam, lay the pipe, as you go up. Hand pack clay around the pipe, and tamp it down firmly. As you go up and over the dam, lay the pipe along the way. Pack and backfill your trench as you go. Then, as you approach the water, you only have a few feet of pipe to lay, and a short span of ditch to fill, and the water won't bother you.
By the way, 73 feet x 59 feet = 4307 square feet. An acre is 43,560 square feet. You have less than 1/10th acre.
