Any reason why I need to wait until Fall to add Ag lime, not hydrated, to my ponds? I was told by an "expert" to wait until Fall or Winter to add it but he couldn't really say why. My plan is to run a spreader truck along the perimeter. I can't see what it would hurt, but then again, I figured that I better check. TIA....

Sometimes they are busier in the summer than the fall or winter, which is why they prefer liming later in the year. From what I can tell, it does't make a lot of difference to the BOW.

Thanks! I ended up adding 3 tons to my new pond and 2 tons to the old one. Everything seems just fine. I'll upload a video if I can figure out how.

Probably doesn't help you much, but I added dolomitic ag lime to my pond last week. So far, so good... pH looks great and fish seem to be well.

96.85840735 percent clayton... the rest is just pi.

We become what we think about.
