That is one pretty bronze back.

.10 surface acre pond, 10.5 foot deep. SW LA. The epitome of a mutt pond. BG, LMB, GSF, RES, BH, Warmouth, Longear Sunfish, Gambusia,Mud Minnows, Crappie, and now shiners!!...I subscribe!!

If I had to guess, it would be one of the fingerlings I got from TJ to feed train in 2012, or it might have hatched in the pond in 2012 from the 20 intitial stockers I put in. I did catch a 19-1/4" SMB last fall that I believe was one of my initial stockers.

Bet it was fun to catch. Nice smalley!

9 yr old pond, 1 ac, 15' deep.
RES, YP, GS, FHM (no longer), HBG (going away), SMB, and HSB (only one seen in 5 yrs) Restocked HSB (2020) Have seen one of these.
I think that's about all I should put in my little pond.
