There are not a lot of projects that I have seen dealing with swimming in the ponds. Has anyone installed water slides in their ponds? What about a rope swing or zip lines over the pond? I have access to some 40' telephone poles and was considering making a rope swing that would swing out over the pond. Just curious to see some pictures or hear ideas of what others have done.

I have not done this, but the floating mats are a common thing at the lakes. They come in different sizes and are 1 to 1-1/2' thick and just float out a ways from the end of the dock. I am not sure how they anchor, but they are great for adults to lounge around on and the kids love them!

N8ly installs ziplines and all; kinds of stuff. I have not heard from him on the forum in a long time. Was wondering if their tv series "POND LIFE" is still going to air??

We were just at Lake McQueeney with some friends and all their kids were on one of those giant float mats... man, that thing was cooler than the other side of the pillow. I wish we had those when I was a kid!

Now that's cool!! Just a quick look online and they can get pricey. Is there a certain brand or place to get them on the cheap? I suppose it beats the heck out of the air filled type and not having to blow it up every time.

I don't recall what brand it is. I had to drive ~70 miles one way to the nearest dealer. Yes they are pricey but the kids love it. The one I bought had one tie down. I called the mfger and they sent me a second one so I could clip one end to the dock and the other end and a buoy.

Going to make "Natural Pools" in my future pond. As a kid we had a game where we would jump on the trampoline with a large exercise ball (like https://cozzy.org/best-rectangle-trampolines/ ) The object of the game was to get the other players "out". To get someone "out" you threw the ball at their feet while they were in the air which usually resulted in them landing on top of the ball and getting flung off the trampoline. Anyone who fell off the trampoline in this way was "out" for the rest of the game.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
