I want to test my well water for drinking purposes. Found a place in Austin - they will run 20 test for $275 - does this sound reasonable?

Nope, I took mine to the public health people in Fort Worth. Check with the County people. I think mine was $20 about 10 years ago.

Checked with our local health people and they'll do the test but it's only for bacteria . I want to test for everything - lead,etc

In another thread, Zep recently posted a link for this place in Denton, Tx. which offers a variety of water tests…. They offer a comprehensive 31 element water well test for $135 http://www.purewaterproducts.com/watercheck/

They offer a comprehensive 31 element water well test for $135 http://www.purewaterproducts.com/watercheck/ they have several levels of test available - goes up to $150 range if you have them test for pesticides. Think I am going to use them
