Over a thousand posts, WOW! Thank you so much Bill for all of them! And also thank you for all of the articles you've written. I've learned so much from you. You've given so much to all of us and I think we all owe you a huge vote of thanks.

What always strikes me about Bill's posts is the detail he provides and the time it must take to present it in a manner in which all of us can comprehend. I've noticed he follows our individual progress and custom tailors his info for our climates, goals etc.
We can all offer something back in the way of updates, progress reports and success stories so Bill can see the fruits of his labour....and post things under the proper headings of course.
Thanks Bill, John Wood.

I wasn't going to post on this thread because I've already kissed enough of Bill's butt...here it goes again. When he posts, read & re-read what he says. He has a keen sense of personally tailoring his answers to each person's goal. I've said it before...he's the best on the board.

Thanks again guys. I'm glad you actually take my comments seriously and "to heart". Glad to share my knowledge with pond lovers. I try to qualify things I'm not sure of.

FYI:: Bob Lusk (PBoss editor) and I have some interesting articles planned for upcomming articles in PBoss magazine about aquatic life (" water bugs") as an addition to the regular fish management stories.

On his heels???... More like watching from the sidelines in awe.

VERY FEW people with Bill's obvious background in taxonomy and aquatic ecology would be willing to share so much information with so many beneficiaries - FOR FREE. Needless to say, Bill's philanthropy with his in-depth responses warrants much gratitude

The beauty and value of this site lies in the various contributors' diverse areas of expertise and, on some occasions, their conflicting opinions. Some of the questions posted on this site may not have "black & white" absolutely correct answers. As with medical opinions, it is best to review feedback from various (presumably "qualified") sources in order to make a fully informed decision toward a course of action. Bill certainly has the knowledge and experience to substantiate his opinions - which is the ultimate prerequisite for being deemed "an expert"..

b-pond - I do not have any "real" influence on what goes into the magazine. Plus I am not real knowledgable about raising large cats in smaller ponds. The magazine editor, Bob Lusk, probably has the most in depth experience with raising big catfish. I may see Bob in the next couple of months and I will try to remember to lobby in your behalf for an article about those big cats. It may take him some time (up to 6-10 months) to prepare a quality article with pictures and data. Currently he is very busy making a living managing ponds AND a new wife so he can subsidize (edit) the PBoss magazine and this FREE website. He is so busy we rarely see him here during the "busy season". .

May I suggest that you email him directly and suggest he create a "big cat" article for the magazine. pondboss@texoma.net "They" are always looking for ideas for articles to create for the magazine. In your suggestion, include what you think would be good & interesting things to read about cats in ponds. If you have any photos of cats from your experiences offer to share them with the magazine.
