Wanted to spot treat some areas, what harm on the YP and SMB ? Would like to have some recruitment if possible, predator heavy pond however but don't want to spot treat and kill the eggs/ribbons etc.

IMO I would not use a copper based algaecicde when there are fish eggs and fry in the nests. If possible wait a 10 days to 2 weeks to treat algae if fish fry are a priority.
