So we bought a piece of dirt that had a 1 acre cattle pond because we bought 5 acres of an old ranch that was broken up. The 1 acre pond is also 25 feet deep in the middle. The bank has lots of ins and outs but the bottom looks like a bowl. The pond has had all the junk scraped out to the clay bottom. No more sludge or dead treas whatsoever it's brand new. The idea of the pond is a great bass fishing pond. I will do fat head minnows, blue gill and bass.
I spose I should fertilize the water next month when it warms up. But what is next?
Thanks Gurus!

Additionally the rain in NW Arkansas over the last weeks filled it up way before I planned on. This is rare rain. Somehow I need to get structure in there. I ordered Fat head minnows for next month.

Have the water tested prior to stocking. If in pine tree you might need lime prior to stocking. Also might need to fertilize prior to stocking
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
