Thanks Guys... smile The problem is that we don't live on this property so I'm hesitant putting a bunch of money into it. We've been told by quite a few locals that the pond used to be one of the best fishing ponds around... which meant of course it provided a lot of fish for trespassers. frown I feel wasteful though to just leaving it sit. It's a place that should provide some good times hopefully for family and friends. I'll get an estimate to breech the pond and then get a dozer in there. I do have the mini excavator now so realistically I can get the thing drained on my own. It'll likely then sit for a year or two to get it pulled back together if we let it dry out.

With the mini excavator you can drain it yourself and like you said, leave it dry out for a year or two.

Maybe by then the locals will forget about fishing in it and you can push the reset button.

It's not wasteful smile Wildlife of all kinds will make good use of a wetlands area, too.
