I took two small side by side dried up ponds and built one decent pond last July in the Fort Worth Texas area, well the rains came and I now have a large crop of Crawdads that seem to be growing. What can I do since I do not plan on stocking with bass.

There were some people on here not too long ago wondering where they could get some. You might do a search and see if you couldn't "unload" some.

bwlawler, this is going to be hard too due without bass are some other crawfish eating fish.these guys x like bunny's.i'm not sure if you drainned the pond all the way down you could get them completely out.if you did drain pond it would have to stay dry a long time before they would leave.

Invite some friends over and have one heck of a crawdad boil. I think that if you let people know you would have a lot of people wanting to take some off you hands.

Take a look at www.terrybullard.com for crawdad traps. I haven't used his stuff so have no idea whether his claims are true.

Shane, I doubt that there is anything wrong with crawdads. However, I did find one crawdad mound on the Backside of my dam. It was a good 50 ft. from the water and hope the thing went for a walk and dug a hole. I can't believe it tunneled thru the dam.
