So I get all kinds of different answers when I search this on the web so thought I would ask the PB faithful.
If I buy a pound of 3 to 4 inch GSH's does anyone know approximately how many are in a pound that size?

My minnow guy told me that 3-1/2 pounds of FHM (mostly 2-1/2" long) would be about 1000 minnows. I know it's not apples to apples but it's something. He also said that 3-1/2 to 4 pounds of his Golden Shiners (of similar size) would be about 1000 count.

By some actual measurements GSH at 2.5" have very close to 200/lb. When GSH are 3.5" there are close to 100/lb. When GSH get to 4" the number per lb drops to around 30.
