Don't get to see this view often so thought I would take a picture from the other side of the pond. Things are starting to come together at the ole retirement homestead....

The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!
Thanks guys. I miss it every time I leave!! It's kind of a catch 22 really. I can't wait to be there permanently but don't wanna rush getting that old to quick... lol
For now I enjoy it on the weekends and my parents are there enjoying it as well. I have my own built in caretakers and workers!! LOL...

Beautiful! I'd like to put a house next to our pond, at the farm.. (But no $$) Looks like a great place to kick back and enjoy life!
9 yr old pond, 1 ac, 15' deep. RES, YP, GS, FHM (no longer), HBG (going away), SMB, and HSB (only one seen in 5 yrs) Restocked HSB (2020) Have seen one of these. I think that's about all I should put in my little pond. Otter attack in 2023
Don't have time to redo them all but I will do a few at a time that mean a lot to me... Specially my kids stuff... and fish from the pond. I know everyone that visits here loves to see those pics!!

Probably, but the ants swarm around the feeder and make the area no-go territory, especially for kids. This is really annoying since one of the infested feeders is on my dock...
I have a fire ant mound about 10 ft from my feeder. I occasionally try to kill them but have been pretty unsuccessful. For some reason they have never really bothered us or gotten into the feeder. Not sure why.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley Rancher and Farmer Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP
I had that problem but Esshup (Scott) suggested a product call Tanglefoot that you place onthe legs of the feeder and the ants can't/won't cross it. It is a pate that Works good for me but it is a little sticky/messy if you accidentaly touch it.

RC, ya don't need ta worry about gettin old too fast, it just happens. About 5 yrs ago I met a gal and as we were talkin she asked how old I was. Told her 61 and she said she couldn't believe that. I told her I didn't understand it myself. Good luck.
Do nature a favor, spay/neuter your pets and any weird friends or relatives.
