So I stocked my CNBG back in Dec and I have a bunch now that are around 4 to 5" long, is it to early to try to catch a couple to chart there growth or should I wait til they are older? I also have some yearlings that hatched last year from my brooder CNBG.

I started charting fish when I was catching them at 4 inches. I have a log of all of my catches for the first 1 and 1/2 years including relative weight. Now I just record lake record cnbg, all lmb and all res. It has come in very handy a few times. Especially when you start seeing your rw going up or down.

Hey Dins,

I guess it would depend on what your looking for? Getting BG to 7 inches or so is not to hard... It's gonna happen. I would say after the 7 inch mark is where I would start to chart if I was going to do it, but that's just me.

The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!

More so just to see how they are gowing and how fast, and if they are over or under weight

Start when you are ready.
