Just looking through one of my pond boss mags. And thought it would be really neat if the mag. would pick one of us members each month to write an article about and put pictures in of the pond so each month you could read an article and see the picture of a pond of one of the people you may remember chatting with on the site.Just a thought maybe nobody else will agree.

Big Pond:
Good idea.
May want to get a good digital camera first. I probably spent enough on film and developing to pay for one and would have had better pics. Also, I'd do some videotaping if were doing over.

Good idea, but how about keeping us informed anyway? You can post pic's here and keep us updated. I'm sure most would be interested in knowing different methods of construction and renovation, without the delay of publication.

This is a good idea. The magazine and membership has grown so much. I'm glad McDonald realized the potential for a magazine and membership devoted to the private pond guys. I read most everything posted though I don't post a lot myself. It would be good to use a page to print a piece about a member with pictures.

I hope the big guys dont take this as if im trying to change the mag.I just thought it would be nice to see more pond pics.in the magazine. I know there are some but it seems they are of ponds that are very large and are not of the ponds of anyone i recognize chatting with on the site and these large ponds probably dont hit home with alot of us who are not blessed with 20 acre lakes it seems the majority of us are in the 1 to 5 acre size.I know we can post pics. on the site but it just doesnt seem the same.it was just a thought.HOSTY

I think Bob Lusk (PBoss) editor would do this GOOD idea for the magazine. All we need now is for him to read these posts. B.Lusk is currently mostly out of the office during spring, summer, and fall doing his pond management work to pay the bills.
For this to be a successful feature in the magazine, Lusk will need some help with ideas and in writing the story for each pond feature and the pond owner will need to supply the pictures for the article. Bob told me he tries to get majority of the work of the articles for each upcoming year's issues done during winter.
I think an article about Norm Kopecky's northern pond is in the "works" or preparation stages as you read this.
To get your pond profile and pictures in Pond Boss magazine I'm sure all you have to do is contact Bob Lusk by email or at the magazine. He will be glad to hear from you and your potential article.
You all can do your homework assignment this summer by taking pictures to be used in your upcoming article. I look forward to seeing all your ponds, what fish you have stocked, what problems you have solved and how you have been managing the fish.
