We work hard to maintain our water holes and I would like to know if it's paying off for you? We caught 11 bass yesterday!! Not great, but a decent afternoon.

I have been catching fat yellow perch all spring up til this week, egg ribbons are showing up in the pond so I figure they are spawning and not eating much, weather is rough too, hoping for a warm day or two to start them feeding again because I want to harvest a bunch to eat.

Went out for about a half an hour and caught 4 bass and a couple of black crappie in my small pond. One of these days when money and time are plentiful (dream on!) I plan on draining this dugout 6' deep pond and pulling out the silt and starting over. Far too many bass, very few bg, and about 50 crappie (thanks to the farmer next door.) My big pond (3 or 4 acres)has tons of little bg in the shallows, a few bass, but I haven't had any luck catching anything yet. I have a relatively small population of fish in relation to the size of the pond. Stocking was done in the "Great Plains Fish Migration" method.

Even on cold windy days, the fish are biting now on our 4 acre lake. All species are easy to catch.

Went up to the pond two weeks ago, and was skipping lures across the ice. I'm hoping to do better in two more weeks when I go back up!
