I caught this one this evening but I have noticed this on maybe 5-10% of the bluegill I've caught lately.

I agree with RSD but note the excellent condition of the fish. That condition is not consistent with high stress levels. Any big changes in the pond environ recently?

I get those on my fish occasionally also. My fish always seem to be in good condition otherwise.

No mortality that I am aware of. No big changes in pond. The pond is naturally very fertile with high organic matter in bottom and they are spawning. Thanks for the help.
