I put some blue dye in our pond, but the color is not what I expected. It has been about a week and a half, and we have gotten a ton of rain. Any thoughts on me trying a different color while it still has the original color in it?

HOw big is the pond? How much dye did you put in? What was its brand name? Before adding the dye was the water clear, brownish turbid, or greenish hue? All these items have an impact on effectiveness of pond dye.

As Bill asks... you left out a lot of info here... For example I'll give your what my pond is as I use dye now and again also.

My pond is 1 acre in size max depth is 9 feet average is 5 ish feet.

My pond has about 24 inch visibility in it. I use 1 gallon of Aqua shade for my pond.

The product says it's good for 1 acre 4foot deep. Well that's real close to what I need it for, for my pond specs as 70 percent of my pond is 5 feet deep or less. It works without having to buy another gallon.

Now if my pond was 2 acres and 15 feet deep with an average depth of 8 feet 1 gallon just wouldn't cut it. I would have to use about 2 maybe even 3 gallons to get same effect.

I know it's expensive but IMO Aqua Shade is one of the best when it comes to dyes...

The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!
