I've been lurking the site for some time and finally signed up. No clue why I didn't do it sooner. What a great resource this has been for me. Thanks to all who keep this running. I have a 2 y/o 2.5 acre pond in west Alabama. Stocked 5000 cnbg and 5000 fhm in Feb '16. A "load" of threadfin March '16 and 125 F1 in June '16. After the horrible drought last year I decided to raise the dam 5'. Prior to raising dam the pond was 14' deepest and around 4' avg depth. The fish all survived and pond seems to be doing well. It's still filling and needs about 40" to full pool. The end goal is large bass but also bream for kids to catch. I'll try to get some pics up when I figure out how.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
