Getting ready to pull the trigger on aeration for my 2 acre pond. Is manifold type diffuser better because easier to keep clean? Pros and cons please? Any advise?

Flame, I have the Vertex aeration system installed in my pond that I got from Todd Overton. It works great but there is no such thing as a diffuser that stays clean. I have to clean mine about twice a year and learned the hard way that you need to put a rope and float on the diffuser so you can raise them up to clean them. I just use a green scrubby pad (like for cleaning dishes) and wipe all the buildup off them. Within two minutes that are back in the water working like new again. The Vertex is not the cheapest out there but it is durable, reliable and easy to maintain.

Flame,
Go with the diffuser aeration, it is "best value" in Texas. We have been using Vertex as well for the Topias and I like them. They will need to be cleaned twice a year for best aeration. Use a soft brush to maximize their life.
