I know this may or may not apply to a lot of folks I don't know dates from surrounding states... but I was just wondering if maybe this date for next year could be a little sooner? I would love to come but just like last year Muzzle Loader season starts on the 15th of October for us. Just have way to many things to do to get ready for hunting at this point....
I know this is not a priority of course but it would be nice if next years PBC could be the weekend before this one.
Anyway just saying.. I know I am not what drives the PBC lol....
thx, RC

Actually I guess what I should be asking is if this is a problem for anyone else.... If it's just me then I apologize in advance for being so selfish... I know a lot of folks don't even ML hunt at all... RC

Unfortunately any date they pick will have conflicts. One of my favorite bands in the world (The Scorpions) are in Dallas during that date.

I hear ya true but the Scorps only come to Dallas every few years and they may not ever come again....they're getting old like me!
But I'll probably be at the Pond Conference...I guess we gotta make choices....plus hunting season will be back again next year and the next year and the next year.
and if it's not the Scorps or hunting season...its "well I gotta wedding that weekend"...or "well little Johnny has a soccer tournament that weekend"...or "little Suzie has a state beauty pageant that weekend"
another problem is the vendors and pond managers... they are all too busy in the Spring and are too busy in September. Deep winter can mean hazard travel for the boys up North.
Every single year without fail when I announce our company Christmas party months in advance...within minutes different people every year start calling "well that's the one weekend I gotta blah blah blah"....lol

The timing is when most ponds are going to sleep and the Pro's can take a weekend off.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I've kept most of my ticket stubs and the count now stands at 150 concert stubs. Lots of great memories. I always wore earplugs and my friends said I was a wimp....now some of them are wearing hearing aids.

This is the first year I will be able to attend. Prior two were too late in the year and we had already flown south for the winter. So I was happy to see the date picked.

Well no it don't ruin it but opening weekend is VERY, VERY important in any type hunting situation. Your best chances of getting that deer is always on opening weekend only exception would be Bow hunting maybe as it's nice and quite no matter when you go and not near as many folks in the woods as ML or MG season, but it's all good. It is what it is... RC

Last one was at the first of the year Feb/March time frame. It worked great for me, after dove, fall turkey, and deer season, but before spring turkey. It was still cold, and we were in a drought, but time and location worked. I'm on vacation that week, but will probably be in the woods somewhere.
