I am in the process of constructing some grow tanks for tilapia. The only suppliers of tilapia fry that I can find are those that are mainly selling for the purpose of aquariums and aquaponics. I am looking to buy large numbers of fry...not fish that are sold at $0.99 each. Does anyone have any recommendations for bulk tilapia fry suppliers (wholesale)?

I have heard that most folks get their grower fry from a place in Louisiana. Any ideas?

TP are illegal in Louisiana ponds, so I have not herd of La being a place to acquire Tilapia.
Do not judge me by the politicians in my City, State or Federal Government.

There are several commercial tilapia farms in Louisiana. It's probably just illegal to stock them in private ponds.
