We have had about seven inches of rain in the past month. The drought maps are basically unchanged. I think someone is asleep at the wheel.

John,

I lost track of how much rain I got in the past month, but I know it's 9 + inches. I'm in real good shape at the moment. It sure did help with the FA too. My pond wasn't very deep in Feb, but before this last big rain, I was nearly 7' deep.

It's rained 7.6 inches this month after a wet March. The maps STILL say we are in a severe drought. Reservoirs are full, creeks overflowing, springs gushing. I think the people who maintain those drought maps are not doing their jobs AT ALL, and it needs to be looked into. Waste of taxpayer funds!

we here in NE Florida are in a drought. The aquifer has lost much pressure and the free flowing artesian well is no longer free flowing and retention ponds and ditches are all very low and or dry. we did not get a rainy season last year. Spring is our normal dry season so I HOPE THE RAINS START IN MAY !

Hopefully you will get some big rains soon! Maybe a tropical depression (not hurricane) will rain out over your place.

It takes a long time to alleviate long-term drought and fill the aquifers deep underground. Based on what you are saying, that should do the trick, it just takes time.

They revised the drought maps. The drought is completely erased in this county.
