Went down to the pond and found this stuff floating on the surface and around the banks. Is this FA or another type of algae?

Looks like what I call FA but I'm no expert. That is what it looks like in later stages. In early stages it grows on the bottom and bright green. It starts olooking like that and floating late in the game.
Here is a thread with a lot of pictures to compare.
Anything positive about FA?
