I have a place in Rockwall county and I having an issue with a pond not holding water. Do you offer any help or direction on finding out what the issue could be.
It has been in my famliy since the late 70's and we have a never had any issues with it.
Please advise if you can help or now what I can do?

Welcome to PBF Aaon!
Lots of pond construction guys on the forum that will be happy to help. If you can, post a few pictures. Maybe a couple of the dam including the back of the dam. Do you see water seepage anywhere?
Again, welcome!

Is the soil wet behind or on the dam?
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I'm gonna throw in here too with questions. You said it has never had an issue until now so something has changed. What can you tell about changes? Was it the drought and it got low and caused some "cracking" in the clay? Did you have any work done to clear it or clean out the muck in the bottom? I am just looking for the changes. I wouldn't think the old pond would just start leaking... Just my thought. Dave
Thanks Dave 1 acre pond.

I'd like to add any beaver or muskrat activity in the pond?
Is there a corrugated steel drain pipe in the pond?
