Hi all, I am working toward understanding all the pond management stuff as I go. About 5 years ago my pond was stocked with what I thought I remembered being HBG. I struggle understanding the differences from the BG and HBG. Which are these? I will also trap some baby as well. Based on what I see as a spawn I am wondering if these are indeed BG.

The first 2 pics are BG the third is a HBG IMO. HBG is a cross between a BG and a GSF. 4 and 5 are BG as well. Where did you get your fish ?

Thank you ewest. so it sounds like I have a mix... of HBG and BG. I kind of expected that based on what all I had seen and been learning. I will need to look back at my notes on where I got them. I am in SW MO it may have been actually about 7 years. My wife (at the time) picked them up. I have LMB and CC as well and they seem to be keeping the numbers in check. I will keep watching. Dave

Agree with ewest. One HBG in the photos.
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!" If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.
