My CNBG are hardly feeding on the food thrown from my Texas Hunter. I don't recall it being this slow last year.

Anyone have an idea why?

May be spawn related. Have you changed anything else?

Tbar ,mine slow right after a hard rain and especially if it muddys the water. A slight cold snap slows mine down. Mine don't feed in midday times hardly at all. I have changed all times to 8am and 7pm. Feed much better in lower light. One more thing... If a otter or comorant had been swimming around and you did not see it....they will have them spooked where they will not feed. Just some of my observasions. I'm at my pond every day.

T-Bar,
I've noticed as the water is slowly warming up, the BG and other fish are starting to get a little more aggressive. We never really did have a winter in SE Texas, just a few weekends where the temps dipped down and cooled things off for a few days. I believe once the temps stabilize, the fish will feed aggressively. Good luck.

...when in doubt...set the hook...
