I threw the power handle to start my well pump and heard about a three second buzz from the power box and then nothing. I opened the box but there was no burning smell and there are no breakers or fuses. Got any ideas on where I should start?

Sorry to hear about the bad luck Shelby. Your statement "there are no breakers or fuses" doesn't sound right to me. You should be able to trace back the power for the pump to a fuse/breaker box somewhere. For example, my breaker box is in the basement of the house but the well pump is 200 feet away.

Thanks Bill, yes, I went to the breaker box at my cabin about 100 yards away and the breaker was flipped. I did not think about that right away. I was tuned into the buzz at the switch box. My fear is that the submersible pump has gone out. The pump is about 6 years old having been installed in the winter or 2011. Do you think there is any chance that it could be something else? I have no idea what the cost is for pulling and installing a new pump would be.
