Hook, nice lookin structure but I am curious. In the back ground, at what appears to be your pond all the vegetation seems to have been heavy dosed with Diquat. Everything else looks very green. What's going on?

No it doesn't, there are A few different ways to set it in place. you can hang it from a dock, lay it on its side or put it in a Bucket with cement.

Yes that is my pond in the back. Those are cedar trees I cut down and cemented them in standing up to resemble standing timber that's why the look fonky.

I wonder if it would be more effective if there were some dense cover added to the center post to attract smaller fish? Smaller fish attract larger fish? Tie a small cedar tree to it?

I bet two or three of those clustered together would be good.

Looks well constructed with reinforcing ribs so the arms will not droop over time.

I appreciate your comments - thanks. Yes you are correct, the branch arms will not droop over time, and the trees produce extremely well when clustered with other American Fish Trees or natural brush.

The branch arms are extruded 80mil. rigid PVC. The rib height is 1.33" and arm width is 4.25" - and can be extruded up to 8' lengths. They install in minutes without glues or fasteners, nor do you need a mallet to drive them into place. The arms are secured by the tension created from the flex of the branch arm against the wall of the trunk (pipe). Being that the arms are 100% PVC, they will not break or split either. You would have to cut these with a tool if you wanted to break them. It is a neat and simply design.

If you or others in the Forum would like one like Hook's, DM me and I would be happy to send you one. The weight of the American Fish Tree shown is 29lbs.

To learn more about the American Fish Tree, visit my site at www.AmericanFishTree.com and follow us on Facebook and Instragram. We are listed in the Pond Boss online Resource Guide under Fish Habitats & Attractors, as well.

Thanks again,

FishTree

I chose that spot because it's near some cover and I have move cover I plan on putting next to it. I plan on putting my fish condos next to it.

You guys know the cement is a problem and only allowed by one company who holds the patent to do so with flat PVC, hence the handle on top and not a tractor to install. Other than that, it should attract a few fish. Why not simply drive the pipe into the clay on a dry lake bed like this if you feel it needs to stand vertical?

New YouTube video on the American Fish Tree.

A number of people have asked me questions about the American Fish Tree, and I want share the following video with you.

Kevin Rogers, Crappie Master Pro from Peculiar MO, made this short video showing how easy the American Fish Tree is to assemble and use. Note: Kevin is not a paid spokesperson for the American Fish Tree, he volunteered his time and did the video for free.

I hope this video answers your questions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcSmQExCr3A

Thank you,
FishTree

Lol ! Cemet a problem ? I can put cemet on what ever I want plus it's cemented to the round PVC not the flat PVC. Seems like someone is hating on the best PVC Fish habitat. American Fish Tree works !

I imagine many people are infringing on your novel idea of sinking items with concrete. I understand going after another company falling afoul of that broad patent, but flashing it at a little guy utilizing common sense?

Brb. Patenting the use of plant fiber in making toilet paper.

I sometimes put hot water in my coffee mug to warm it up before adding coffee.

Maybe I should patent the idea.

Patent infringement is only applicable when you are marketing/selling somebody else's novel idea. I don't think it pertains if you are taking that idea for personal use.

With that said, some people try to patent/ trademark the dumbest of things. A Dude Ranch/Resort in Montana a few years ago tried to trademark their slogan "The Last Best Place" as if they were the first to use it. Thankfully they were denied.
