Ok guys,
I just purchased a piece of property and it has about an 8 acre lake with huge amount of water shed. Infact so big that we drained it and back in september with the hurricane it filled up in one day to over flowing! I has two big creeks feeding it and the spill way is a huge water fall..Its an old Mill Pond. Now we have opened the gates on it and drained it. Here is what I need help with is this amount of water. So the top 4 feet of water is where all the nutrients are, correct? Well is it worth building a wall in the lake at the water fall spillway so that the over flow water comes from 7 feet deep of water? Its going to cost me $6300.00 to have this built. I am wondering if this is money well spent.
thanks guys for your help..

If you have the drop, you can build a siphon drain for a lot less than that.....

Hey, still raising the big cats?
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
