Should I turn off Aerator in winter as I have an underwater spring that creates a winter warm spot and TFS have survived 4 winters? Will aerator bring colder surface water and mix with warmer spring water and kill off TFS? Is there any advantage to run aeration system through the winter? 9 ac pond in Chester ,S.C. rarely freezes solid but never in the area of the spring.
Thank you always for your excellent informative advice.

If you do not have DO issues and want to save the TShad then do what insures their survival .
