I'm callin ya out pal. As not to hijack the Go Cubs thread I'm startin this head buttin debacle tween you and me. I understand you predicting the once again doom of the Cubs. That is an instinctive reaction to protect yourself from another major disappointment. Kinda like a Box turtle closing up or an Ostrich stickin it,s head in the ground. I am older and more knowledgeable than you and I feel it. You stated that the Cubs had ample time to disappoint us oooollld fans but you are wrong. They kicked ars with LA This is gonna be the yr!!! Heck it's only been since 1908 since they did it but F the goat!!! I'm gonna challenge ya to a bet. When the Cubs win, you will come to my place and seal my leaky pond. "IF" the Indians win, I'll come be your grunt for 8 hrs a day for 5 days. Deal?

Bob, I don't think you can keep up the pace for 8 hr a day. I don't want to be responsible for your early demise. Also, it's not an "That is an instinctive reaction to protect yourself from another major disappointment." No need to protect myself, I'm a South Sider. Or at least used to be! Tell you what, you buy a pair of tickets to one of the WS games (one for you, one for me) and I will root for the cubbies for one night.

Bob, I'll wait until after Game 3 to voice an opinion. Especially after tonight's performance.

Yeah at least they have the cubs.... cause DA Bears suck!! lol No one cares about the Bears this year I bet!! lmao..... I don't do baseball so cant say much, but I always love to see the underdog/ good story team win.
I hope they pull it off just because of how long it's been. That's crazy.... 1908 that was like almost before cars were invented... LOL....

Cluber is an absolute stud as anyone who pays attention to baseball knows. But the Cubs lost that game when they had bases loaded against Miller (who is going to get hit this next game or two in my opinion - his real advantage is the odd angle the ball comes from, and all a good hitter needs is a few looks at that to be able to anticipate it) and they didn't score a run.
I'm with esshup here, I'll wait until game 3 to really state my opinion. I've been a Cubs fan my whole life so obviously I'm hoping. Our pitching matchup looks great for games 2 and 3, so we need both of those in my opinion. They're pitching Cluber game 4 and 7 if needed so we are going to have to be able to do better against him if we're going to win.

Bob, aren't you glad that I saved your butt from being worked to death? Since I heat with wood during the winter, I usually have to split a whole bunch of wood at least 2 years in advance. I know it isn't over yet but it sure is looking that way. I was thinking of pointing you to the pile of cut rounds, and showing you where the log splitter was, and coming back to check 5 days later to see how far you got. Here's what some of the rounds look like that I usually split..... For an idea of scale, that is a 32" bar on the chainsaw..... You will be thanking me in another game, maybe two at the most. THE GOAT STILL LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I am going to apprehensively say at this point is..... PS.... And if you had a furnace like mine you would just roll them in and let 'em burn. I sure don't miss splitting wood!!!!

From the looks of your cuts, you have your saw filed perfectly. I spent many years felling timber in the west, so I appreciate what you are doing. Are you chisel filing with a grinder, round filing free hand, something else? Nice work, to say the very least.
