Hi!! Sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask...
I couple years ago when I was in 7th grade I found a bunch of bird or reptile egg scattered in a pond in the rouge river (MI), and if possible I'd like to know what it may have been.
The pond's about 200ft by 100ft and it had a 75ft x 10ft peninsula (wet and muddy). The water was about 1 ~ 2 ft deep around the peninsula but I couldn't tell/don't remember how deep it was beyond that. There were about 4~6 eggs scattered around the peninsula in the water. Maybe around 4ft apart from each other. They were white, 2 x 3 inches (not sure on this), and either elliptical, longitudinal, or oval (going off of this

Sorry I know this is really vague (this was 7+ years back) and impossible to tell without a picture but any ideas? I can't stop thinking about it for some reason. Was it some poor turtle's eggs that got pushed into the water by something?
