I attend the annual Husker Harvest Days farm show in Grand Island Nebraska each year and this year ran across this really nice boat designed for ponds. If I did not already have a nice aluminum pontoon paddle boat (Paddle King) I would be drooling for one of these. Sweet.

Prices did not seem all that bad for the quality and features. pondtini.com Made in the heartland, good ole central USA Nebraska.

Hey Bob Lusk, if you get a call from this guy, I'm the one sent him your way. I pimped Pond Boss Magazine and PBF pretty hard for you! He seemed interested when I told him he should be advertising in PBM. Send him a magazine sample!

John,

What are the dimensions and carrying capacity?

The literature I picked up Brian did not give any load capacity. But the deck size is either 6x10 or 6x12.

They make 4 different models, pond, recreation, fishing and hunting versions. They make a standard model and then a bunch of options to customize and make them into deluxe models.

I did not delve into it too much because I already have a Paddle King pontoon boat. Did not think I needed a second boat. But if I did not already have a boat I sure would have been more interested.

The place making them is a farm equipment mfg making things like dryers and seed tender wagons. pondtini.com for more information.

Since we are making this a thread on pond boats this is a link to the brand we have. We have the 4 person Paddle King pontoon paddle boat.

We like it really well, but if we did not have it the Pondtini would get a good hard look by me.

Paddle King boats

Lusk needs to have all these companies advertising in Pond Boss Magazine.

Paddle King seems like a good company....I called them about their floating docks, but they said the closest active dealer to Dallas was either Kansas or Missouri....so I kind of blew it off. Their floating docks look to have a pretty stable design for the floating dock variety.

Boat dealer in Wichita is where we got ours. Yes, that would likely be a 6 or 7 hour drive one way for you.

snrub i used to make that drive a lot driving from Texas up to the in-laws in Iowa..that turnpike can be a lonely place at night in the winter.

i remember one time my car kept stalling out so I finally limped into a gas station about midnight and told the guy what it was doing...he said without hesitation "you need some heat"...I was like "what the heck is he talking about?" He kept saying all ya need is some "heat". Half groggy I thought he was pulling my leg. Being from Texas I'd never heard of "heet"...so he finally showed it to me on the shelf and off I went towards Iowa in December...that stuff works!

Well your first mistake was heading north in December. grin

Birds fly south for the winter. Seeing how they have been doing it successfully for thousands of years, I'm going with the birds. laugh

Northern truckers get to laugh at the southerners when their air brakes freeze up, not knowing enough to put alcohol in the air lines. Same deal as the Heet.

I'm very pleased with my Basshunter EX, but I'm starting to think i MAY need something a tad larger for those times when I lose my mind and want to take others with me. As an avid do-it-yourselfer, I'm leaning towards finding a derelict 14-16 foot pontoon and refurbing it to my liking. There's lots of info on the web on this subject and some of the work is stellar.

Behold! Word of mouth promotion works!

I tell the guy at Husker Harvest days displaying the Pondtini boats he should be advertising in Pond Boss Magazine, and there in the Nov-Dec issue is the ad!

Maybe someone actually does listen to me once in a while!

Now since they are an advertiser I can provide a link.
