Here are a few pics of my project. It was started in mid February. During the process we has a few good rains, had to pump it out. If all goes well they will be done in about a week. The last few days they have been running 7 dump trucks all day. The moving dirt fast. I'll update pics as it goes. http://s90.photobucket.com/user/probass/slideshow/Pond

I see that you have the most important ingredient. That boy looks to be about 9 years old.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Congratulations. Let us know what your goals are. How deep? Structure? What you plan to stock and when? Hope ya include a beach for the youngster and dog. My goals are easy. I want a fun place to relax in the afternoons after work and the weekends. Teach the kids a lil about fishing and have healthy fish to catch. O I forgot to mention...... try out new baits before I fish with them for our bass club tournaments. LOL It will be about 10-14 ft. I have a 20x40 area that will be 3-5ft with gravel boat launch (so I work on my boat trailer if need be) I plan on adding a 10x12 dock in the same area. I've added stranding cedar trees, pvc structure and random free things. I have some cement culverts and random broken cement. It's worth Kristen in progress still, another week or two and it will be complete. My water well will be dug this week with weather permitting. Here are a few pic. More to come soon ! http://s90.photobucket.com/user/probass/slideshow/Pond

They finished the pond Monday. A few pics of them finishing up my boat launch. The almost done pic ! I have a few more things to add for structure, put the power to the well, build my 35x6 pier and add my rocks to the boat launch! I have a good bit of work ahead of me be the end is near. I took the week off to complete my project. If all goes well I'll start pumping water in Saturday!! More pics to come as things progress.

Your pond and structure looks great
Interested in ballpark of what it cost you to have the 3" water well put in? How deep did your water well end up?

Hook, not putting in a boat ramp in during construction is one of my biggest pond related regrets. Good decision to put it in now.

Looks awesome. Any updated pics after the water came? My biggest fear is digging a hole and then it doesn't fill up I like seeing the final end result,

I wanted to put a boat ramp in my pond because if ever I need to do any repairs to my boat trailer I can put the boat in there. Most of my friend have boats so they can use it for the same reason! A boat ramp for a 1 acre pond? What you plan on putting in that BOW... Your 20 foot Nitro.... LOL
