Hi all, need some help on how to identify male bass. I need to take some bass out of the pond, but don't want to take all females. Is there a good way to tell, and should I take some of each?
Thanks to all!

Bob Lusk & others answered this question as good as it can be answered in a previous post. I don't have time to search for it for you now.

Easiest for the layman is in the spring. Look at red swollen urogential opening on females. If no red at all it is more than likely a male. Yes it is better if you first take out enough to target the males for removal. Good luck, tough this time of year to sex them.
