Greetings from Oklahoma. New to the site. Bought a new to me house 6 months ago. I saw the pond and had to have it. The pond is roughly 1/4 to 1/3 of an acre. about 9-10 feet deep. It was built sometime round 2005 or 2006. It is filled by rainwater.
According to my discussions with previous owner, it went dry one time and was then deepened to its current depth.
It has a good population of channel cats and sun fish which are hand fed floating pellets.
It's a great pond for my 2 young boys aged 5 and 3. I just hope it survives our scorching 100degree summers here in OK.
Looking for forward to reading all the great info on this site.

Pics attached of why I love my pond....

Those are two good reasons to love your pond.

Welcome Okie

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
