The first couple pics you can see a plant that grows around the banks of the shallow side of our pond. It does extend into the water some... but not very far.

I'm holding another that I have found in the water...not alot...but some. Growing from the bottom. Looks like what we called hydrilla when I was kid at the lake.

Any information would be great...are these invasive, helpful, harmful, etc.

Thanks ewest! Found that site very informative. I bet the one I'm holding is hydrilla. Still can't find the blanket plant. But just started looking.

I can't see too well but the top pic looks like Water Primrose to me. It grows from near the water's edge out into the water a ways but the tentacles can vine out onto the water's surface quite a ways. If it is Primrose, it should have some small yellow flowers on it soon.
