I have often wondered if my larger BG have backed off feed. They either stay out in deeper water where I can't see them as well or they have quit/reduced feeding. I have lots and lots of BG in the 4-7" range that I regularly see feed, but the bigger ones either stay out of my vision or have quit feeding.

Seems like my bigger ones are stalling out at around 8.5-9". Can't say for sure. Just seems like my mid size BG are still feeding and growing like gangbusters but the larger ones not so much so.

Maybe too much competition? Maybe just impatience on my part? grin

Have to wonder about this, though-unless BG were a lot more fecund in the days before global warming.
