Hey guys, I recently bought a house with a .5 acre pond on it. This plant is slowly starting to take over. I'm wondering what time of plant it is? and what would be the best way to treat the pond to get rid of it?
Thanks in advance

I have a plant that looks at least similar to that growing in clumps a few places around my pond. I'm guessing it is Small Pondweed (Potamogeton pusillus) but I will be interested to see what the pros have to say. My plan was to stock a few grass carp if it starts to takeover much area. I don't know if grass carp is an option in MI.

no triploid grass carp in Michigan, I guess they are worried about run away reproduction.

Aquathol K Apply according to the label. I dropped a gallon off at a clients place last week. He used it, and went to Tenn. for a few days. When he returned, the plant had already dropped to the bottom and is dead. I was there yesterday stocking Triploid Grass Carp and he was a happy camper. He had tried other chemicals and the plants laughed at him and grew even more. n Now the beach area is clear and the grandkids will be swimming this weekend.
