I was at my pond this weekend and threw out some Aquamax 500 to watch the bluegill eat. I really enjoy seeing the fish come up and eat the pellets. Usually a school of bluegill shows up and eats the food relatively quickly. This time there were also 10 to 15 bass that were also eating the pellets. I was very surprised because I did not stock feed trained bass. They learned this behavior on their own. Most of the bass were probably 2 to 3 pounds. It was very calm and easy to see so I could tell they were eating the pellets and not the bluegill. It was very cool to watch. I guess I will set my automatic feeder to feed more since I am now feeding catfish, bluegill, and bass. Has anyone else had bass that started eating pellets that were not feed trained?

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

Yes, it's great when LMB start taking feed.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

Mine have too from early on, stocked 2012.
If you can get some AQ LMB food it's really a treat watching them attack it! As well as the HSB if you them as well.

I have a handful that have learned to eat AM 600 or AM LMB. Peculiar to me that some will take to it while others won't.

Mine eat the BG that come to the feeder.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
