I washed in 5 tons of powdered gypsum with a 3inch water pump. I backed my boat down to the waters edge and mixed the water & gypsum as it washed in.

Question is, how many days or weeks should it take for me to notice a difference in my water clarity?

Background information, water visability was 12 inches before application..

hay there Cav, I will offer this and hope it helps. Gypsum will act as a Flocculent when added to clay. This is where a particle of clay (suspended in the water) will swell above the normal and then fall to or settle to the bottom. The Gyp needs to be dispersed across or into the suspended clays. So having not been there at the time of distribution might make it hard to determine the time it might take to settle out the clays. It Depends on the distribution of the gyp

Cav, I should have said it needs to be added throughout the water so it is mixed in. I would expect it to clear over 48 hrs or less if little to no winds to keep it stirred up. Remember it settles to the bottom
