All the ice went out on the ponds a couple of days ago. Now there's 4 to 5 inches of snow on the ground and more to come.

The front pond:

The back three:

How about you? This being lake effect enhanced I'm sure Esshup has more.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Wow, I'm sorry to see that, Cecil!

If it's any consolation, I'm guessing this time of year it won't last long? Or maybe you still have a ways to go with that weather?

I don't know and/or fully understand the lake effect stuff you deal with! I just I'm just glad it's there and not here, no offense intended grin

looks like the lows for the next few nights here are in 30's (35,37,39) here for three night in a row still in the 60's during the day though. This should be last of it. IM thinking of planting a few things in the garden after...low risk of a freeze after this weekend.

We got hammered with thunder snow here in St Louis....major power lines falling over interstates from the intense snow and winds. Air temps were 36, some areas got nothing while a couple miles away, 3-5" of slush in under an hour!

I would think you are a go now for onions, radishes, etc if you're planning to plant any.

Cold blustery day for us today. Looks like the snow will be just off to our east. Supposed to be colder and windier tomorrow. I had some scuds ordered that weren't supposed to come until tomorrow but came today. I was very happy to be able to get them into the pond before it gets too bad.

Thanks for the kind words but it's not a big deal. Way too early to get one's hopes up about real spring weather but it's amazing how many people do year after year.

Fortunately I like a little snow to make things interesting now and then.

Looks lke this coming week will be a carbon copy of last week. Windy and mild, then temps drop and snow accumulation again. Rinse, repeat.

Same for us. 62 today. Had some left over onion sets still in the fridge from last year so planted them in the garden. Should have some sweet early green onions this year! smile

Tomorrow night 70% chance of snow and slight chance the rest of the week. Highs in the low 30s after tomorrow. frown
