All righty now folks, since it's been approximately 24 hrs and nobody has brought it up, I feel compelled to do so. Startin with the national anthem. I'm no fan of lady gag gag but have ta admit that the freak has a damned good voice. Also a bit classier than Rosanne Bars performance. The news station are all showing her rip out the song as the Fag Newton, oops I meant Cam Newton tries to look like he is so cool in his dew rag (which was on the wrong end) imitatin Stevie Wonder and then with the Blue angles roaring overhead was a great intro. Now to the game. How wonderful that a has ben QB that was let go by the Indy Colts (bad bad call by the Dolts upper mismanagement cause they didn't trust the doctors they paid for diagnosis) won his 2nd SB ring as a 14 point underdog. Not to mention he didn't make a Jack Ass of himself by doin the jive ass Peacock walk. I'm old enough ta remember Archie Manning and what a class act that he was. That is in my opinion why his two sons are as cool as he was. I also remember the great Bum Phillips and what a great man he was. No doubt that his son coached the Denver defense to a SB victory. Congrats to both both old boys and there sons !!! So, as ya might figure, I am a fan of the Mannings, Phillups, Packers and all men who were men. If this don't get you Texans all excited by all good deeds done by AMERICAN studs, by God then sign off. I want and expect some feedback here. PS I was a junior in high school when SB 1 happened. It was no greater then than this one. The cost for a 30 second commercial then was 42 K the price the other night was 500K.
Do nature a favor, spay/neuter your pets and any weird friends or relatives.

Was the superbowl yesterday???
Yeah, if it doesn't involve a fishing rod or a steering wheel, I don't watch sports. And it needs to be freshwater fishing, and the steering wheel needs to be held in a straight position.....no turns.
Sorry Bob, no help from me.

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

The Manning's (Archie & son's) have always been a class act in my book. Even when Archie was getting his arse pounded into the ground playing for the Saints. I have often wondered what he could have accomplished had he played elsewhere in the NFL. There appears to be no brag, no false bravado, or BS when it comes to the Mannings. I saw Peyton play basketball at a sweet sixteen tournament back in 1991. He was in high school then...a formidable opponent, and a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court. As always, Archie was there on the sidelines watching the game. Eli, with 2 super bowl rings of his own under his belt is no slouch either. As far as Cam Newton is concerned...Vonn Miller, did not care who or what a Cam Newton was. There was a reason that he won the MVP award. It was obvious from the numbers put up by Peyton Manning that the defense carried the mail last night. With regards to Kubiak and Wade Phillips, I'm totally excited for them...there's no telling what kind of politics and BS coaches endure when coaching a pro team.
...when in doubt...set the hook...

FYI Archie and Eli and family are in large part responsible for the Blair Batson Hospital for kids . See this http://www.umfoundation.com/home/news.php?id=92

And after the way Cam Newton gave up on his fumble, then pouted after the game, I think he's lost a ton of respect. Still a great athlete and a good QB (not great, just pretty good), but not the leader a team needs in adversity.

I was rooting for Denver, but I don't mind saying that I'm disappointed with Peyton Manning, for promoting the consumption of alcohol (specifically Budweiser) during the post game interviews. So much for his wholesome persona. Surely he's not that badly in need of money.

Sorry Bob, no help from me. Ditto Tony. I'd rather be ice fishing. But since the ice isn't very good this year watching paint dry is the next best thing the overhyped commercialized Super Bowl.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

A lot of major advertisers are skipping the super bowl and putting their money in the Nascar Daytona 500. 300,000 people will hit Daytona and get who knows how many watching at home.

Cam has to learn how to grow up and could use a mentor. He has a lot of talent but so does Johnny Football.
No matter what, the best team won, and that team had the best defense. Tom Landry once said that offense scores points but defense wins games.
BTW, I missed the Clydesdales and spotted dogs.

Yeah I knew that pride would catch up to him sooner or later. That's called Karma!1 haha... Used to love Cam but once his head got so big he couldn't move without falling over it I had enough of him.... Dude really does need to learn both how to lose and win with humility....
I don't much care for the Bronco's either but it is what it is just a game if I sat here and said who won super bowl 44 and I needed an answer in 5 seconds who could really tell me. The only ones I remember are the ones my team has been in so yeah... glad to see the Panthers get their buts handed to them...

BTW, I missed the Clydesdales and spotted dogs. Living in the home town of those big horsies and spotted dogs, plus the farm that rears the young is in the town I grew up in, I really missed quality Bud commercials also!! I did like the opening, and was pleasantly surprised at Lady Gaga's show of patriotism toward the end of the National Anthem! I half expected her to butcher the Anthem as badly as the military choir destroyed God Bless America....hands down the worst rendition of it I have ever suffered through..... BTW, Gully Washer, I think Peyton owns a couple Budweiser distributorships, so he was a little self interested in promotion...

I knew the Broncos defense was good, but still a surprise how well they shut down the Panthers offense (which led the NFL in scoring this season). I think the Panther's need to add an elite, big, physical receiver. Another surprise was how small a role Peyton Manning played in Denver's win. It was almost like he was just along for the ride. I thought all in all it was a pretty boring Super Bowl. Cam Newton really came off as being a sore loser walking out of the post-game press conference after just a few questions. ps: Lady Ga Ga did a fine job on the National Anthem. ( how did I know even before they showed him that Cam Newton would not have his hand over his heart during the anthem?...lol) During the anthem when they showed the soldiers in Afghanistan and at the end when the jets flew over I must admit I had a lump in my throat. Lady Ga Ga Super Bowl
