Poland! grin

I think he was tied in with the local musky associaton, and my guess is the game plan would be to get them really small from a supplier to save money, and grow them out to stocking size. Doesn't make a lot of sense though as the state has taken over the musky program.

No clue if they were feed trained, but of course depending on his knowledge in that area he may not have thought that out. I have seen tiger musky fingerlings that were feed trained at the Cikana State Fish Hatchery years ago when I was a biologist aid. They also ate each other!

Not so sure non-hybrid musky can be easily feed trained for tanks which is what the state is planting.

I'm on my third 20 cubic foot tank of oxygen. Very convenient for moving small amounts of warmwater fish in cold weather, but not very cost effective at $16.00 per exchange.

It appears 20 cubic feet of oxygen isn't very much oxygen when you're fulling bags that are much larger than a five gallon bucket. My guess is at least one cubic foot of oxygen per bag as 7.45 gallons = 1cubic foot. I seem to get about 10 bags full and the tank is empty.

Gonna need to purchase a larger tank to make it economical.

Dad has a 120 or 125 on his torch rig and it's about $20.00 to fill. I had a 300 CF on mine and online price thru local AirGas is under $40.00 to fill. Probably much cheaper than the online price tho. I see a 20 CF tank is about $22.00.

Damn heavy tanks tho.

IIRC I paid around $200 for the last tank I bought. I'll let you know what the refill costs, as I have to bring it in on Monday.

I am curious. With the amount of O2 fish farms use, do they buy it of have their own oxygen generators/concentrators?

Buying a bottle for o2 is expensive but to fill mine up isnt. Fyi. I don't know those big guys do and I'm sure they are all different

Stopped in to get my C25 exchanged (385 cf) - $36.00 grin (list is $120.00)

Anyway, Praxair will not sell tanks over 125 cf, have to lease them for about $75.00/year.

The 125cf O2 tanks cost $225.00 to buy, and on my account, $6.00 to fill. My dad pays about $20.00 to fill.

Guy at Lake said to scope around craigs list, and you can usually pick one up fairly cheap. He said Praxair bought about everyone and they will take pretty much any tank in for exchange.

Nice thing is, if you have a questionable tank, they will give you a good one in exchange.

Guy said, all they do is move gas.

I think that might be production without control to take advantage of this resource grin

Not to get weird here, but a few years ago heard about this group that wanted to stop cows from farting.

Doubt I could find it now, but there was a local guy on the news that asphyxiated himself after a binge episode with booze and ate a lot of cabbage. IIRC, they figure he was dead before the place burned down due to the flatulence.

Methane!

This may be way off here, but did you, as a kid, ever light a match to your butt when you had a good one to discharge? laugh

In my early marriage when my wife was star struck wirh me and more tolerant, I pinned her down under the sheets when I felt a big one ready to rip.

Found out this is not an isolated thing as when I related this to a friend in the NG he said, "you too?"

Oh the things I used to get away with! Took the wife fishing the first three days of our honeymoon. When she broke down crying, and said, "Aren't we going to do something else?" I realized what a selfish heal I was being.

Just a decade later I was being led around with a ring in my nose. Oh how the tables turn.

JKB,

Does the match thing really work?

An old married couple no sooner hit the pillows when the old man passes gas and says, 'Seven Points.'

His wife rolls over and says, 'What in the world was that?' The old man replied, 'its fart football.'

A few minutes later his wife lets one go and says, 'Touchdown, tie score...'

After about five minutes the old man lets another one go and says, 'Aha. I'm ahead 14 to 7.'

Not to be outdone the wife rips out another one and says, 'Touchdown, tie score.'

Five seconds go by and she lets out a little squeaker and says, 'Field goal, I lead 17 to 14.' Now the pressure is on for the old man.

He refuses to get beaten by a woman, so he strains real hard.

Since defeat is totally unacceptable, he gives it everything he's got, and accidentally poops in the bed.

The wife says, 'What the hell was that?'

The old man says, 'Half time, switch sides

There were some kids in school that claimed the flame, but in those tender, but mischievous years, I was well acquainted with Oxy-Acetylene torches, and feared an END disaster should an uncontrolled ignition take place.

I remember one kid brought a fart to school in a canning jar, and he proved it laugh crazy

I think using the word fart back in those days was the prelude to the use of more colorful four letter words as we were being methodically desensitized the older we got.
