In my continuing efforts to look thin like Sunil (albeit, twice as tall)...... grin

I updated by workout area with HD TV and a Chrome Box. I am typing this as I work my daily bike trip of 8 miles. I'll post a photo when I remember to do so. (I suppose, only I care).

Daily work as is now stands:

Warmup/Bowflex/free weights, 1/4 hour
4 treadmill miles at 4 mph, 1/4 hour
8 bike miles at 16+- mph, 1/2 hour+/-

Hey Man! I don't think you're 8' tall.

Yeah, talks cheap. Without pics, it's just another fish story. Hey, scratch that idea. I don't need to see you in a speedo getting sweaty.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Homemade meatloaf, baked potato and corn for supper last night. Workin' off the carbs this morning.

Diet Tip: Never eat meatloaf at a restaurant or buy the frozen dinner grey stuff.

I "try" to stay away from the carbs. At least, some of them. I prefer a baked sweet potato and green beans.

My biggest craving is Snickers, peanuts and any kind of chocolate. I had no problem getting off the poison they call soft drinks.

I like all those things you mentioned. I rarely have a soft drink but do drink a minimum of a gallon of water a day.

I don't count beer in my water allotment.

I couldn't handle that much water.

That bench press doesn't even look like it can support you laying on it.

I just read through this whole thread - congratz on your achievement!

If you don't mind my asking what was your starting stats (ht/wt/bp) and where are you now?

I got cleared by my doc to start aerobics now that BP problem is under control for 6 mos after having a stroke and realizing that my BP was seriously high.

I'm 6'2" 265, looking for 225 by year end.

Here where I live, basements are not viable, so my aerobics will be confined to a treadmill in the closet when it's bad weather, or outdoors.

Well, I built it myself if that tells you anything.

I am 6'3", large boned, fairly heavily muscled and have been in and out of physical fitness regimes since my early 40s. When I was in my 40s I jogged 4 miles 3-4 days per week while smoking 2-3 packs of cigarettes a day. I quit smoking in my mid-40s and haven’t had one since. Let's just say that was a long time ago.

I have always had a weight (and not the losing kind) problem. My biggest weight was 295. I am currently in the 240s. I am trying to get to 220, but I have seemingly been trying to get there forever.
My current numbers (blood pressure and resting heart rate) are 100s/60s, high 60s - low 70s on the bpm.

It has been a while, but my blood pressure at one time was 140/90 area and resting heart rate in the 80s.

All ELO yesterday; all Georgia Satellites today.

When winter seemly lasts forever, sweating it out to the music hands me a great start to another winter day.

Sometimes on the bike, I review summer open water photos for an additional shot of happiness.

Keep at it Dwight. I have been tread climbing (like cross country skiing) and stair climbing (real and machine) all winter. Trying to get rid of the Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year add on. Not there yet but making slow progress. My key - eat less as it takes a long time on the machine to get rid of just a few bites of good food.

Restricting the list to ten titles, and just one tune per artist, these are my favorite workout songs to get you going.

"I Fought The Law" The Clash
"Goin' Up The Country" Canned Heat
"Wild One" Billy Idol
"I Wanna Be Sedated" Ramones
"Motherless Child" Eric Clapton
"For Whom The Bell Tolls" Metallica
"Immigrant Song" Led Zeppelin
"Sweet Home Chicago" Blues Brothers
"Tonight She Comes" The Cars
"Rave On" Buddy Holly

I thought about this top ten post for a few days.

I spent some time over the years trying to limit the number of tunes on my workout list. It was down to 108 at one point put creep has set in and that number is increasing.

My PMD has all 3000+- tunes on it; a device about the size of a half dollar coin. No limits, in other words!

Good list, stick!

Because Zep's studio version of Immigrant Song is so short, may I suggested getting the live version from How The West Was Won? Longer and more brutal as it has the solo that never was in the studio version.
