I'm looking to save a few bucks by traveling over land with unweighted tubing but i don't know how to connect weighted line to unweighted line. Any ideas?

Barbed fittings?

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.

Yep. I use plastic barbed fittings and PVC glue. If I want extra security I use stainless steel hose clamps.

Just did this on my system 1/2" black plastic water line is the same i.d. as 5/8 sinking tube so you dont need adapter fittings just regular barbed fittings for the water line works great.
