do flathead and channelcat cross breed? i have some really ugly channelcat in my lake. some of them have wide mouths with lips that look like a flathead but they have silver sides with spots on them. is this possible or do i have some mutation living in my lake?

Are you sure that they aren't a species of bullhead (mudcat)? I read on the internet that channel and yellowcat can hybrid but that it is unlikely. Wish I could see them because this stuff interests me.
